Breadsticks
Bread Sticks
Rachel has been wanting me to put this recipe on for a long time. It is taken me a long time hopefully it was worth the wait. Just one tip make sure you put on the topping before it rises in the pan, because if you wait until it is done rising and then put it on it will go flat again. Sorry it is not a very good pic. I promise then taste way better than they look!

Dough:
1 Tbsp Yeast
1 1/2 C water
3-4 C flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 Tbsp Sugar
Mix dough and let rise. When double, punch down and spread into cookie sheet pan (sprayed with pam) and top with topping.
Topping:
1/4 C melted butter
1/4 C parmesan cheese
1/4 C Mayonnaise
1 1/2 tsp Garlic salt
1/4 tsp Parsley
Let rise again until nice and fluffy. Bake 350 for 15-20 minutes or top is browned.

Asparagus is one of my top five favorite vegetables. Maybe even top three. So when my mom told me about the delicious asparagus she had at book club (prepared by my cousin Debbie) I knew I had to have the recipe pronto. I was not disappointed.

Good Seasons Italian dressing mix
*Cut off bottoms of asparagus. Spread out in a single layer on a cookie sheet. Drizzle or brush with a little olive oil. Sprinkle some seasoning. Broil in oven for about 5 minutes. Perfection at it's finest.

Country Style Spare Ribs
I got this recipe from my friend, Sheri, a few years ago and just got around to try it out. I loved it! The meat was so tender and the sauce was sweet and tangy. We put made sandwiches out of our meat but you don't have to. (I forgot to take a picture so I found this one on the web. Deal with it).
3 - 4 lbs. boneless pork spare ribs
1 onion, sliced
3 Tbs. vinegar
3 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbs. salt
1 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 cup ketchup
1 cup water
1 cup brown sugar
Place ribs in crockpot. Slice onion and place on top of ribs. Mix rest of ingredients together and pour over ribs and onion. Cook on low 8 - 10 hours or high 6 hours. Then, eat the yummy goodness!!

Addicting no-bake cookies!
Here's another no-bake cookie recipe (because I know Rachel post one already). These are super easy and SOOOOOO addicting. I love them!!
2 Cups sugar
3 T cocoa powder
1/2 Cup butter
1/2 Cup milk
1 pinch salt
Bring to boil for 1 minute
then add...
1/2 Cup peanut butter
3 cups oats
1 tsp vanilla
Mix well, plop down on wax paper, let cool.

Banana Cookies
Do you ever have brown bananas but don't feel like making banana bread? Well I've got a solution for you. I found this cookie recipe in my ward cookbook (love of my life) and was really happy with the way they tasted. My kids (who won't eat banana bread) loved them.
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 egg
3 large ripe bananas
Cream together then add:
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
Mix well then add:
2 cups oats
1 bag chocolate chips
*Bake at 375 for 10 minutes.

Tomato Basil Soup
This is what I made to go with my bread. I got this soup from my friend Emily. She says, "I love it because it is so easy. Perfect for busy moms." I would like to add that this soup is dang good too!
2 big cans crushed tomatoes -I used Italian stewed
1 quart water (that is 4 cups)
1 lb cream cheese -I used low fat
½ cup dried basil -I only put 1/4 cup dried but added some fresh basil
¼ cup sugar
salt and pepper to taste
Simmer ingredients for an hour then mix in blender. Season again to taste.

Carrots and Leaks
Carrots and Leeks
6 carrots (peeled and chopped at an angle)
3 leeks (chopped including the white part. Or if you can’t find leeks white onion works too
Mix and melt together…
2 T water
1 T brown sugar
½ cube butter
1 tsp salt
Put carrots and leeks in saucepan and drizzle mix over. Cover carrots in pan with tin foil AND pan lid. Cook on medium for 25 minutes. (be careful with the time. one time my carrots burned on the bottom so make sure the stove is not too hot... medium or less)
Mac and Cheese
I found this recipe on one of my favorite blogs..."Hold the Onions." I was excited to find a Mac and Cheese recipe that didn't involve flour. This recipe was easy and everyone liked it, except for 2 little boys who couldn't believe we thought this was better than Kraft. Go figure.
3 1/2 cups water
1 can evaporated milk
12 oz. elbow macaroni (3 cups)
salt and pepper
1 tsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. dry mustard
2 drops Tabasco
2 cups shredded cheddar
2 cups shredded monterey jack
3 T. butter
*Bring water, 1 cup of the milk, macaroni and 1/2 tsp. of salt to a boil, stirring often, until pasta is tender.
*Whisk remaining milk, cornstarch, mustard and Tabasco together and stir into macaroni. Simmer for 1 minute until thickened.
*Take off heat and add cheeses and butter. Salt and Pepper to taste. Serve immediately before sauce starts to thicken.

Rice Krispie Ice Cream Dessert
My SIL, Jen, introduced our family to this wonderful dessert!! It's a definite crowd pleaser.
1 cube butter (melted)
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup coconut
2 cups Rice Krispie Cereal
1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream (softened)
Melt butter and mix with brown sugar, coconut and cereal. Put in 9x13 pan and bake at 300 for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and scoop half of mixture out. Spread remaining mixture to cover bottom of pan. Scoop softened ice cream over mix and spread. Top with remaining cereal mix. Cover and freeze until ready to serve. Great with chocolate or fruit topping.
